We have almost completed our first full week of Term 1, and it has been a wonderful week. Thank you to all the parents who attended the information evenings on Monday and Tuesday. It was lovely to see you. If you were unable to join, the teachers have shared the slides by email, and you are welcome to reach out with any questions.

Tomorrow, our Year 6s will take part in a Lead4Life leadership programme at school, preparing them for their leadership roles this year.

Next week is Digital Citizenship Week for KS2. We will start on Monday with a special assembly from the Learn to Love Campaign, exploring kindness both in person and online.

Each year group will focus on a key aspect of being safe, responsible, and respectful online. This will be represented by a specific colour:

  • Year 3 – It’s Cool to Be Kind (Yellow): positive online behaviour and respect for others
  • Year 4 – Share with Care (Blue): safe sharing and thoughtful online choices
  • Year 5 – Secure Your Secrets (Green): digital footprints, privacy, and protecting personal information
  • Year 6 – Don’t Fall for the Fake (Red): critical thinking and spotting misinformation

Students will take part in interactive activities for half an hour each morning and a session with our KS2 counsellor to support discussions around online safety and wellbeing. This programme is based on Be Internet Awesome Digital Safety and Citizenship Curriculum developed by Google.

To end the week, pupils are invited to celebrate their learning by wearing a fun accessory in their year group’s colour. This can include hairbands, bracelets, scarves, earrings, socks, or other fun items.

ECAs begin next Monday. You will find the links to these, as well as the Sports Fixtures List in the Important Links section below.

Lost Property
KS2 lost property is in the Year 3 foyer. Items found during the week will be placed there. On Friday afternoons, unnamed and unclaimed items will be moved to the large lost property box near the uniform shop.
