We would like to outline how Merits, Character Awards, and Demerits are used at the school to recognise positive behaviour and to support students in their learning journey.

Merits and Character Awards are awarded to recognise and encourage good, positive, and exemplary behaviour. Character Awards carry a value of four merits. Teachers award these based on their professional judgement and may choose either to “save and notify” parents via EdAdmin, or to save the record for reference only.

All merits are accumulative throughout the year and contribute towards House points for Draco, Orion, and Titan.

Demerits are issued for behavioural infringements in line with our Code of Conduct, ranging from Level 1 to Level 3. When recording a demerit, teachers may choose to notify parents through an automated email or simply record the incident on EdAdmin for monitoring purposes.

We encourage all parents to regularly check their child’s Learning Behaviour Model Record (LBM) on EdAdmin, as this provides valuable insight into your child’s attitude to learning and overall conduct.
